Time lays upon itself, creased and folded, allowing the familiar ghosts to be called upon in wake of my upcoming return to China.

This photo series came about as a way to process the uncanny feeling of something from the imaginary suddenly taking form. A dream turned into a photo series, then expanded into a book, providing an opportunity to return to the very woman I dreamt of. Time is a funny thing and sometimes it is completely incomprehensible.

I projected photos from my series Dead Mail into my space and onto my body, collapsing the divide between timelines. The projections became something almost tangible, but not quite. They haven't fully taken their three-dimensional form just yet, but I believe they will in May. This project is about the pursuit of memory and of a past that exists now and later.
